Solo-Paddling the Skeena

Q. how does the skeena do solo?  i live in northern montana, and most of our water moves along preyty well.  have you sold many out here?

how do you get the camo pattern in the tigre?  and can that pattern go into the skeena?

thanks.  jeff

A. Hi-
Souris River's Skeena is a brand new canoe, so that green one you see on our site is the only one sold so far in the US.   Being assymetrical, I'm guessing that it does not solo all that well.   Probably OK if you have to go somewhere on occasion, but it's definitely made for tandem paddling.  Because of the layup in the Skeena (5 layers kevlar, polyester and now a particular type of  fiberglass in the mix) I'm not sure about a Le Tigre lay up.  The black stripes in the Le Tigre kevlar is simply a dyed black stripe of kevlar in the kevlar cloth.  Still is kevlar, but with a stripe woven in.  My guess is that they could make an LT pretty easily but I'd need to check with the factory.
